CCAC Spring 2011

Just wondering if anyone else on here has applied to CCAC for the spring 2011 semester?

There is at least hope on Mondays! If they don't show up...see you all on the psych ward!

Hello Everyone,

Yes.. I am another candidate anxiously awaiting that letter from CCAC. However Kaykay did bring up a good point. Backup plans... what other schools are out there that start before August of next year?

Maybe we'll see something tomorrow. Good luck.

I know Shadyside still has seats open for Spring. But my back up plan is to take classes that will transfer to my bachelor's if I don't get in. I am registered for sociology, medical term, and nutrition in case I don't get in.

I did get a letter from CCAC on Saturday.

The outside of the envelope had information for returning it so I thought that was a good sign. I wasn't going to let my heart go in either direction until after I opened it. Well...I opened it. And it was a bill for tuition for the class I registered for in the Spring. Seriously-I was disappointed.

If it didnt come on Saturday, I bet it wont come today. A letter mailed on Friday would've been here by Saturday. If I get a letter today, it means they mailed it on Saturday or it came from out of town. Que sera, sera.

Did anyone get mail yet today? Mine is either not here, or I have no mail today.

Yup. I got my mail. Nothing from CCAC. Not even a bill this time.

nothing here. this is just absolutely crazy! i dont understand what the problem is with them. I tried calling and it just goes straight to voicemail and those have not been updated since last week either. obviously they are really unorganized. i am beyond frustrated right now.

Does anyone else feel like the staff is unsympathetic to us applicants? The least they could do regarding all these delays is keep us updated.

I agree that they are very unsymapthetic to all the applicants. they have no clue what it is like to wait or what some people have riding on one stupid letter. HOWEVER, I did hear from someone there-finally- that the letters were sent. i have no clue when they went out or if they just said it to shut me up, but supposidly they are out. if they went out today, most of us will have them tomorrow......

Let's hope you're right and they were sent out today. It's only about 2 months until classes start for spring term, and we still have to get a lot of things done: shots, physicals, cpr (?), uniforms, etc. They are really putting us in a crunch by taking so long. I mean, how hard can it really be to figure out who is in and who is out? They supposedly use a mathematical formula-- it should be pretty clear-cut.

Anyone else apply for Allegheny day like I did?

I applied to Allegheny as well. I have no idea how I'm going to get everything done before the program starts if I get in. This is becoming unreasonable.

You should be able to get everything done by then...I must say though I think the people working the acceptance office are rather rude. They need to get with the program. We had a deadline by which we were supposed to apply, and anything submitted beyond that would not be accepted. Why can't they abide by a deadline? They keep changing the recorded messages every week.
