CCAC Spring 2010

Just curious if any who have applied have heard if they've been accepted to CCAC Nursing program for Spring 2010 admittance?

Also, does anyone out there know what the likelihood is of getting your fist choice?

I know some are not going to like this...

but for those who did not get in, it was suggested by a senior nursing advisor to "challenge" the score of those who qualified but was not accepted. The way it was put, mathematical error's happen.

it is only a phone call/email and it cost nothing, but you never know until you make that call/email.

this quote has nothing to do with it.. but are you by any chance in AP2 right now at allegheny campus?

Nope, i'm actually in A+P 1 at South campus right now.

Hey Rquinz

I just wanted to let everyone know that there is a BLS CPR course being offered at CCAC Allegheny on December 11th. It's 50 bucks.

That's GREAT news if it includes infants and children. What campus is it held at?

There is also a BLS for health care providers course being offered at the Center for Emergency Medicine, in Oakland on December 10th for $35.00... HERE is a link!

Good luck everybody!

Boyce fast track! And you?

What kinds of penlights are people getting and what about the price range for a decent stethoscope?

I am not sure what kind of penlight I am going to get. I am waiting to see what is in the clinical bag. Stethoscopes depend on what you want. I personally am going to get a littmann classic se II, I heard it was a good one to get especially for school as we will be just learning. It costs about $70.00 you can get a kit with the stetoscope, BP cuff, penlight etc.. from redding medical for $106.00. I am waiting until after orientation to order my things................Betty

Does anyone know if this would be accepted?

Online certifications aren't acceptable, at least not at Boyce campus. I assume the same goes for all the other campus. I went to the American Heart Association's website and it gave me a huge list of places to get certified. I went to the EMS Center in Brentwood today and got mine done. Very quick and easy, $50.

When I go to their site I get one listing for a place out in OH. What parameters did you put in for their search for a class?
