CCAC Fall 2011

Hey!

Is anyone applying for the RN program that starts Fall 2011?

I'm going to apply for South. Last I checked, they didn't have the application packets yet. I hope they get them soon! Do other campuses have them?

It would be great to get some discussion started. Thanks everyone!

Is anyone transferring credits from another college? I took my co-reqs at another college (I already have a degree). I hope they all transfer. I'm taking the form in tomorrow.

I went to 2 other universities (no degree, though) and that got rid of almost all of my pre-reqs. In fact, they were accepted for classes once I'm in the program (English Comp, etc) which eliminated my need to even take almost all the pre-reqs. If all of yours don't transfer you will at least get a nice head start.

That's great! I went to two universities as well. I hope mine transfer!

Here is what I'm worried about though:

I see that in the nursing packet it says that high school biology must have been completed within the last 5 years. I took high school biology in 2004 (got an A). I took Anatomy and Physiology I&II in college in 2006-2007. An advisor told me that I wont need to worry about biology since Anatomy and Physiology are above biology (i.e. biology is a pre-req for A&P). I hope this is true. I don't want to run into any problems with getting accepted!

Hi. I graduated from CCAC Boyce, and you will be fine. The advisor is correct!

Whew, that makes me feel better. Thanks for your help!

I can't wait to get started... although I know we are in for a long, rough road!

It's not THAT bad! Find a friend that's AT LEAST as smart as you and study together. I made a couple friends there that will be close friends forever!

Great! I'm applying to South day, because I live near there. My second choice is Boyce Day :)

The application process wasn't nearly as bad as I thought it was going to be. I also applied for Allegheny evenings with Boyce as my second. Now we just have to wait the couple months to hear! Good luck everyone!

I know, two months seems forever!! I wish "Good luck to you too":bowingpurI'll be praying
