Canada icu study work program for 12k cd$ tuition fee(1yr)

And 12k cd$ for 1yr allowance in Canada.Over all total( bank certificate) will be 24kcd$.This is for RN in the Philippines with 2 yrs of exp. What do you think of this program? You will work for 20hrs weekly (10.50/hr)after 3 months,CRNE,CNO,Ielts application included in their fees. This is a program from an employement agency in Philippines with partner in Canada(as they said). However,i saw lots of nurses also who underwent their program(aside from this program) that has been successfuland now enjoying NZ/Aussy/Canadian life.Do you think their fees are fair enough? Please share your thoughts. Thanks

All I can say is wow, you basically come over on a student visa and restricted on how much you can work and you have to apply for a separate work visa whilst on student visa and I am not sure how they can say CRNE in 3 months when we are seeing International nurses posting of waiting over 12 months for eligibility to site CRNE

I honestly don't see how this is legit. Hospitals here train their own ICU nurses. No provincially funded hospital will let a nurse work for $10.50/hr. The unions would go ballistic.

They're not going to work as nurse by the time they will be landed in Canada. The 10.50/hr is their paid while they are completing maybe the requirements( IElts,CNO,CRNE applcation and the icu training) as of the moment because this is a study work program. They will be issued student permit at the same time work permit, working for only 20 hrs a week. By the time they will pass the CRNE, that's the time they commence as RN.What i would like to know, is is hard to specialize in area you choose if you want to?Does it cost thousand of dollars to specialize in ICU?because i am just so overwhelmed with the cost of the tuition fee.If the ielts, the CRNE app and CNO maybe it won't go further than 3kCD. Bacause i also have plans of going to Canada, and i'm just waiting for my ielts exam this May,if God permits i will try to apply as immigrant.

So what work will you be doing for $10.50/hr?It certainly doesn't cost thousands to specialize in something. This sounds fishy.Hospitals do their own ICU training. They don't bring in outside partners and we have plenty of nurses here that would be looking for jobs. There is no reason to be recruiting outside of Canada.

No mention at all on medicals and you can not work in the healthcare sector without one. What sort of job are they saying you will be doing? I think you may find you do not earn enough with only 20 hours a week and you will pay taxes etc on that $10 an hour you earn and before a student visa is issued they will want to see that you can support yourself without the need for working

More sensible to come as an immigrant, the student plan does not sound right. The CNO does there own asesssment, stupid to be doing advanced nursing when you have not proved you know the basics.

Canadian hospitals will provide ICU education to their own employees while they are being paid to work there. The nurse make money not gives it away while gaining the skills.

The only way into Canada as an ICU nurse is with documented, paid ICU experience.

It sounds like this company is a scam. The only ones benefitting is the company.

You can only apply to the Canadian Government to immigrate. All this company will do is take lots of money for filling out papers you can fill out yourself. They cannot make things happen any faster.Canadian employers do their own training for ICU, they do not use foreign agencies. It certainly wouldn't cost 12k

As mentioned you only apply to the CIC and going through an agency doesn't make it any quicker, paperwork is the same as if you complete it and there is a cap which will reopen in July this year and expect the cap to ill quickly again like it did last year

Why do we Canadian nurses waste our breath (and internet band space) trying to point out the facts? These posters have made up their minds to use these services.

yes, thank you. so the cap is 10000 slots for nurses, does it apply to working/immigrant visa?i heard the latter takes 5 years to be processed. any idea about the working visa? can a nurse woth experience in a hospital apply even w/o an employer yet?
