Can you go straight into a BSN program after high school?
I don't know if it is possible to go into a BSN program after high school.
Can you skip the RN program and go straight to a BSN program after high school?
If so, are the prerequisites taken during the 4 years of BSN?

Yes and No. You complete your prerequisite classes (first 2 yrs) and then apply to the BSN program. Once accepted, the last two years is only nursing classes. There may be some schools that you get accepted into the program as a freshman and complete both foundations classes and nursing classes together.
There is no "RN program". It either an ASN or BSN program. Both programs allow you to take NCLEX for your nursing license.

A lot depends on the actual school. Some BSN programs accept people right after high school. They enter the nursing program as college freshmen and don't have to re-apply after taking a year or two of pre-requisite classes. However, most schools these days require students to take pre-requisite courses in their freshman year and maybe their sophomore year of college -- and then apply for admission into the nursing major. Only those with good grades in their freshman and sophomore years are accepted into the nursing classes that start in either the sophomore or junior year of college.
Check with the colleges and universities that interest you to see how they do it.

BSN programs that accept students right after high school are few and far between. Chances are high that you will only find programs in your area where prerequisite courses must be taken at the college level before applying to the nursing program. Look on the nursing school links for the programs that interest you and you will see what situation exists for each school.

Depends on where you live.
In Canada you can go straight from High school in to a BSN program. Thought because of the competitiveness of the programs most people take a semester or two of classes at University before applying or while applying the second or third time.
If you live in the US or somewhere else then I don't know...

It will depned on the school. Some schools have programs that have you tkaing your science classes and electives along with a few "nursing classes" such as intro to nursing, nursing theory, etc. You would need to contact the schools you are interested in that offer the BSN and see what the schedule and process is.
So.... to answer your question, yes and no. Every school is different.

I'm sure programs are different but at our school they take students right out of high school directly into the BSN program. The freshmen spend the first year taking nursing related prereqs (anat, physio etc) and start the nursing program the second year. The remaining non-nursing courses are spread out in the rest of the program. It takes a mature student to dive right in IMO but the students finish with their BSN by the time they are around 22 years old.
