yes, I had the same problem with the Kaplan Qbank questions. I had a calculation question that wanted the mls of fluid given over a 3 hr period. The answer came to 312.5 mls. In school I was always taught to round to a whole number when dealing with IVs, so I answered 313 mls. This was the wrong answer, they wanted 312.5. So I guess if it is asking for a drip rate, you obviously would round to a whole number and if it is asking for an amount of fluid you round to the 10ths place if necessary.
Does this sound right to everyone else?
The best of luck to you. Usually you round one past the decimal, but I didn't even have any calculation questions and I took my NCLEX this morning. I thought that was a bit weird since I figured they would be a tad concerned with all the med errors. I was quite bummed considering the fact that I am great at Pharm calculations.

Hi. I'm taking the NCLEX next Tuesday, and I was wondering if anyone can answer my question. Overall, of all the questions I plan to take on the NCLEX, calculations are my most confident point, however, unlike HESI, I noticed that when I did the Kaplan Q trainers/Qbank, which they say is exactly like NCLEX, I never saw a question stating what place you should round up to when typing in numerical answers for the calculation questions.
For example, I know if my answer was 0.18, and they ask me to round up to a 10th, the answer would be 0.2. Does anyone have experience with this, and if so could they answer what place you should round up to on NCLEX, or does the NCLEX tell you what place to round up your numerical answer to?
Thanks in advance for any help that y'all can provide.
