Bug spray at school?

What is your school district policy on students having bug spray or other insect repellent at school? Elementary (K-5 school).

Not allowed here because it is a chemical. Not even our custodians can have it.

NO...

Hard pass here, too. If parents want it on (I totally understand), they have to put it on at home.

NOpe - apply at home before school.

Not necessary to function in the school environment unless provided by parent with a form signed by parent and doctor.

No- this is something that can be applied at home by the parent. For sprays that contain 30% DEET (the maximum % recommended by the AAP for kids, btw), if applied right before school, the spray will last up to 5 hours. That's a pretty big chunk of the school day, and sometimes that info. helps parents feel better about using at home.
