BSN (Prelicensure) Program CA

Hi, I am looking to get some insight into the WGU BSN Prelicensure program in California. I have a Bachelors degree and am interested in returning to school for my BSN. This program is appealing to me as I have a little one at home and think the online schedule would work out great. I would love any insight from anyone that is currently enrolled or recently graduated.

Thank you!

I recently applied to the prelicensure program for CA. My counselor has been very helpful and supportive through this process. I should know by next month if I am accepted. The ca program is very competitive

Am interested in the program. Is the pre licensure program offered online? If yes, how's the exam taken?

Kpk333 - I would say that the program is more of a hybrid program. You do the theory classes online, labs (on certain weekends) and clinicals (can be on certain weekends or weekdays ) are not online for obvious reasons.

Tests are done at your home using a third party called ProctorU. WGU will give you a webcam and you use that when taking the exam and someone from ProctorU will be proctoring remotely. You can also chose to do it at a local approved proctoring site. I have never done it that way, but some people prefer that option.
