This is a forum is for anyone applying to Brookhaven college ADN program for Fall 2017.What tips can you offer? Any challenges? How was the dosage calculation exam? Any tips for the critical thinking exam and the interview? How many points are you applying with?

Hi , I'm applying as well I'm soo nervous .. I already took the critical thinking exam and got 10.2 points.

I took the dosage calculation exam this Saturday,still waiting on the results. How did you prepare for the critical thinking exam? I am nervous about taking it. I took HESI and made a 90 but taking it again in a February to improve the score.

I took dosage on Saturday too , you can't really study for the CT exam it basically gives you scenarios and you choose the most appropriate reaction. Like for example: your the charge nurse and a 14 yr old comes in with this problem she asks you not say nothing to her parents you do this or do that it's multiple choice and you pick what you would do. I'm taking my Hesi on the 17th how did you study for it ? 90 is a good grade !

I am so happy that I don't have to worry about dosage calculation anymore.That test was stressing me out so bad. To prepare for HESI I used the HESI Admission Assessment book by Elsevier, it was pretty thorough, I found most of the questions from the book were quite similar to the ones on the actual exam.

I passed my DC exam and i planning to take the critical thinking exam. And my question is, is there any material that can get me prepare for the exam??

According to people who have taken the critical thinking exam,there isn't much you can do to prepare for the exam. Most of the questions are quite straightforward from what I understand. As English is not my first language I have been brushing up on my vocabulary and comprehension just to be on the safe side as I get ready for the CT exam.I have no idea if that will help me any.I am taking the exam tomorrow and I will let you know how the questions are framed once I am done with the exam. Yeah there's really not much you can do to prepare I tried looking everywhere for information with no luck, but I went ahead and took it . You will do fine !! I passed my dosage test too.

Hi, I didn't do as well as I had hoped on the CT exam.. it was not really what I imagined to be "critical thinking". If yall don't mind, what are yalls application points - total or step 1. I have 35!

Critical thinking exam is kind of bogus, you can't really prepare. I don't think it was a well written "critical thinking" exam but instead, it mistly felt like ethics or policy.
