BLS vs CPR

Hi guys, I'm a pre-nursing student in my freshman year and I'm looking to get a part time job at one of the hospitals in my area. All of them require a BLS certification for most of the positions I'm interested in. My question is, does the BLS certification include CPR/AED/First Aid training or am I gonna have to go take those classes separately? I appreciate any advice I can get. Thanks!!

The course you need is BLS for healthcare workers. It will include all those things you mentioned. CPR is part of BLS. Be sure you don't get a course for the general public. Also, most places require that you take the course in person, not online.

Lots of places give you the course when you're hired. Call the places you might work, and ask.

What kind of job? What are your credentials or certificates? Are you a CNA? Anyway what Whispera said is correct but I've never taken BLS for health care providers that includes first aid, nor have I seen it as a requirement?

Nurses rarely need a first aid card. BLS for healthcare providers(AHA) or professional rescuers (Red Cross) includes CPR, BVM, oxygen and AED.

Always go for BLS. It might also be labeled as CPR for healthcare providers.
