Hi. I'm an LVN due for my recert of my BLS. I am having a hell of a time finding a place to do my recertification. The only site I can find is AMR...and their class time interferes with a class I"m taking right now. Help! It expires in March 3rd. Thanks.

Wow! Thanks for the link rpv rn! I had no idea you could do this online. Kind of expensive, but good to know where to go if ever needed in a hurry.

Be careful and do your research before using this website. You need to know what CPR your facility requires (American Red Cross, American Heart Association, etc) before wasting your time & money.
Have you called your local fire department? How about EMS service? What about community college? And don't forget local hospitals.
Here's the link to the AHA online recertification:

Good luck & be sure you get the class you need!

I agree about checking to see if your facility will accept the online renewal. Mine does not. I was able to renew my BLS on one of my days off by going to an instructers home and doing it there. Took about an hour. Contact the local chapter of American Heart they usually have several options.

Yeah, you can get CPR and First Aid recerts online. Lots of companies do it - I researched them. I did mine here and it was quick and easy. Free courses and $24.99 cert cards.

Hospitals in my area keep lists of instructors who teaching privately, often out of their homes. Try calling the education department of yhour hospital or others in your area
