Anyone know anywhere to get my BLS recert done? I used to always get it at a local hospital, but it seems like they no longer offer this. Mine expires soon.. Anyone know anywhere I can go?? Thanks!!! :D

I had an instructor come to my home and recert me the last time I had to do it. It cost $65, I think?

You may have already gotten the info you needed, but I wanted to let you know and others who might have the same question that the American Heart Association has a 2 year certification vs. the Red Cross with one year certification. You can go to American Heart's website and look up local certification centers.

If you're near commerce I used Advantage First Aid- they issue AHA. Take --------, she was very funny and made the class move quickly.

My CPR/AED certification is from the Red Cross and it is good for 2 years.

Thanks! I didn't know. When I did my research they told me it was one year. thank you!

You can renew your BLS online at the AHA website, then find a instructor to do your skills test. If that fits with more your schedule.

Typically most clinical settings require you to have an AHA BCLS card. All EMS providers in michigan usually have an AHA instructor on staff. Contact your local EMS provider or Fire department. If they dont have an instructor they can put you in touch with who they work with for their staff.
