Blended ACLS skill session

Has anyone taking the online blended ACLS class and completed the skills session in person? Can anyone let me know what to expect??

I did one in October. The computer based scenarios are timed so I killed a lot of pts before I figured out which button did what - lol.

It took forever, not because I didn't know what to do but because I didn't know HOW to do in the scenario.

I've done this at 2 different hospitals. One I did the online portion and only had to do compressions for the in person part and the second did the online and had to complete a mega code

Just be sure your facility will accept the online portion; mine won't.

Yes - it was hospital-based and instead of the chest-only manikin I had full "bodies" in a bed in their SIM lab. I thought it was the best 30 minutes of CPR practice that I've had in a decade (I've only had to do real CPR once). Allow the full time for the practice, though. My manikin was a little tricky when it came to going back and forth with the mask.

Same for me...I normally prefer online learning but I thought the ACLS program was awkwardly designed, and I wished I'd just sucked it up to attend the in-person class. Lots of futzing around trying to figure out which menu "oxygen" was under, etc, while the patient died!

The hands-on was a basic CPR demo, naming rhythms I think, and then a megacode.
