Binghamton BAT Program 2018-2019

Hi there! Has anyone else applied to this program and is waiting to hear back? I would love to hear about people's past experiences as well as get to know someone on the same page as me! I submitted my application in mid September and am wondering when we might hear back? I heard it was early last year!

Around what time did they call you? Who spoke to you the admission counselor or someone that works at the nursing department? Before they accepted you did you call them telling them how much you really want to attend the school?

They called a little after 1. I spoke to a lady from Decker, she is the one who offered me the spot and told me she would pass my information to admin so I can get my official acceptance letter (which I got the email the next day). I never called them expressing my interest in their program. On the phone with lady from Decker she stated she was calling to see where Binghamton ranks in the nursing programs I applied to and if I was still interested. That's when I told them it's my top choice and would choose to go there over other schools I applied.

You know how many people will be in the program?

@Trinnn do you know anyone that got accept from the waitlist in March or you the only one so far? Have you spoken to people that got accepted and decided to not come to the program?

I am not sure how many people will be in the program. I know previous forums said 70-80 I think. No I don't know anyone else that got accepted in march besides myself. There are some people I have talked two that are still deciding if they are going to attend

I'm not really sure how many people got accepted from the waitlist I'm sorry, and I don't know about gpa either. I do know though that at least a few people got accepted off the waitlist very late.....like may a few weeks before the program started

@Trinnn When did you apply to Binghamton University? I applied November 20th maybe that will decrease my chances of getting in. What day did they told you that you had been waitlisted?

@ladypeaches4 When you first got waitlisted did you lose hope? Did you applied to other nursing schools for back up? What did you do to relieve your stress from being waitlisted, because this is driving me crazy so far I have no backup because all the schools rejected me expect for Bing and I am trying to stay positive but it is hard.

@Trinnn When you was waitlisted did you have any back up just in case Bing don't accept?

@ Ashleyloso You should apply to Drexel's program that starts fall 2018, no application fee

Are you going to Drexel? If you are when? I only want to go to schools in NY because I am from NY.

The average prerequisite GPA of those who have been offered admission to the BAT program beginning May 2018 is a 3.7, and have an average cumulative GPA of 3.6. As originally stated in the wait list letter, if any additional spaces open in the program, applicants will likely be contacted between April 1 and May 15, 2018. Occasionally offers are made prior to April 1 to exceptionally high achieving applicants who replied yes to the wait list offer.

@BeABearcat You got accepted to the BAT program?
