BEST resource for nclex prep

I used Kaplan, they have a free app with practice questions that's great. NCLEX mastery app, I think it's about $30 or so but so worth it, Saunders, HESI - NCLEX practice questions, and La Charity "Prioritization/Delegation/Assignment".

Your #1 best resource is nursing school... Everything else should only help focus you. Personally, I used Saunders 6th Ed book and NCLEX 4000. I figured that I knew the content, I just needed a specific tune-up on how the NCLEX itself asks questions. I guess it worked because my exam shut off at 75 and I'm now licensed...

It's individual preference also related to educational background and learning style. For me my nursing education and NCLEX style questions on school tests were sufficient prep for me.

Aside nursing school is what I'm asking. We all obtained nursing education, but aside that what resource (specifically) was used to help prepare for nclex-RN.

I strongly recommend Hurst! I thought that my 11 years experience as an LPN was my best resource for passing the NCLEX-RN. What a reality check when I ran out of time on my first attempt and failed. I attended a live Hurst review and attempted the exam 60 days after my first try...pass! It was an intense 3-day review with a large amount of information packed into a short time, but that is just what I needed. Looking back now, I can't believe I tried to take the NCLEX without a review class first, what was I thinking? Check out Hurst!

I used hurst and thought it was amazing in covering core content (it basically summed up my BSN program I feel like). I don't believe core content is the problem, I do well with it.

I feel that I just don't know how to strategize when taking the nclex especially the SATA, and priority. .
