BCIT August 2013 Applicants

Hello future nurses,

I am so excited to be starting nursing at BCIT in August!

For future applicants: To have a strong application make sure you have work experience, volunteer experience (preferably healthcare), as well as liberal arts courses - my Psych 241 at SFU transferred over as a libs course and I will find out if any other courses of mine transfer over once I send them an updated transcript.

I am going to be going in with a completed BSc in Kinesiology and Psychology, but a full degree is not necessary, just at least 60 credits to be competitive!

Anyone else defer to August?

Have you done it yet???

Looks like my code expired......it hasn't been 30 days yet either.

I did it already that's weird I would call them

Can you pay the commitment fee online? Busy with work to drive out there, anyone know for sure and which links to click? Any help is appreciated :) thanks and cant wait to start!!

Yeah after hours I'm calling tomorrow. I sent Lori an email but am calling first thing tomorrow

@ publichealthhopeful... Yes, you can pay your commitment fee online. Just go to your mybcit account, and look for the "fee assessment, payment and receipts" option under the "student self service" menu

@ vana, I have the same problem - my code is expired too! Well I guess I will give them a call tomorrow too

I wonder if they gave us all the same code 4574QK??? And after someone used it first it expired?

Code for what?? I havent gotten anything in the mail yet. I'm still working on getting all my records... it's been a task and a half so far for me.

U can pay the commitment fee on the phone with a credit card, the code comes in the mail with instructions for the criminal record check, my code was different than the one posted

I couldn't get a hold of my records either but still dropped my form at health services, and the nurse said try to bring my records from when I was a baby if not they will give boosters when u do the tb test in June if u booked an appointment

Awesome thanks. I actually just checked my mail and I recieved the crim. record package too.

Thanks guys for the help :) somehow paying a 200$ fee makes it seem that much more real lol i had to run around for my health records aswell- luckily my local public health unit had them in hard copy. I was born in 89 and they still had mine in my hometown from way back when, but i know some get destroyed now. Now to get that hep b blood test screen is the last thing to do..
