BCIT August 2013 Applicants

Hello future nurses,

I am so excited to be starting nursing at BCIT in August!

For future applicants: To have a strong application make sure you have work experience, volunteer experience (preferably healthcare), as well as liberal arts courses - my Psych 241 at SFU transferred over as a libs course and I will find out if any other courses of mine transfer over once I send them an updated transcript.

I am going to be going in with a completed BSc in Kinesiology and Psychology, but a full degree is not necessary, just at least 60 credits to be competitive!

Anyone else defer to August?

    I hope the wait isn't TOO tormenting and that all goes well!

    I am currently struggling in finding places where I can receive my CPR Health Care Providers (HCP) certificate (preferably in or near Surrey). Can anyone please provide any locations?

    I went to Select First Aid in Surrey a few times over the years. I recommend them!

    I too went to Select First Aid that's located in Surrey. It was really good, I'd definitely recommend going there. There is also St. John's Ambulance located on Fraser Highway as well

    Ya, me too. I thought we would have known by now just because it seems past intakes knew by this date BUT then I remind myself that it is probably because the questionnaire is more time consuming to mark than the old reference forms. Who knows. I'm just trying to think about other things until next week! (when I think we might find out)
