You should not be fired if you are allowed to press charges along with the state. But what do I know, my husband wa sick, and I asked for FMLA, but didn't get it. The facility was too short of nurses. So, I put him in the facility for 20 days, WORST MISTAKE of my life. So I'm now on my last 2 days at this place. Going to another facility where everyone is very understanding.

Sorry to hear that your husband is sick. When you said you put him in the facility, do you mean that you put him in the facility you work for? Hoping for clarification. I don't blame you for moving on, however, because in most cases, FMLA is not a planned situation and they should be more empathetic. Hope your husband is better and that you find a position that is more accomodating.

its hard to tell there is a nursing shortage by the way management treats staff. we are not a coheisive group. nurses eat their own.

I have to state the obivous here. Your guns werent locked up?!!! ***. Usally I'd have some advise here, but you have to expect that these kinds of things will happen when you own DEADLY WEAPONS. Now Im all for owning guns, but my own common sence tells me that if my home is broken into I want to make sure my guns cant be taken. Did they have trigger locks or were they in a gun safe?. Dont mean to bust your chops here, I relize your going thru some bad stuff, so I'm sorry if this sounds harsh.

umm...wrong...the guns WERE LOCKED ....these guys busted open the gun cabinet and broke the locks on it. It had 2 locks on it. We live out in the country with no one around us for miles except for my in laws which still arent very close by.....someone told these guys what we had in the house. The room that these guns were in also had double locks on the door..which are now busted up as well...and the cops didnt even dust it for prints! Just the back door and a box with lotions on top of my dresser. They told me it would be 3 yrs for the prints to come back from the state system which I think has surely got to be a mistake. In the meantime...these guys have been picked up twice and gotten out on bail....and they havent even been asked about the break in to my house. They have sold the guns and the cops tell me that they are trying to locate who has them now .......I wont hold my breath on that one either. I did have an alarm system installed in my house directly after this happened...so I feel somewhat better...but not completely. My doors are still broken and only one lock works...so Im working on getting those fixed. Some of the guns were rifles that my husband uses to hunt with.......he hunts deer every year (so not my thing) and donates the meat to needy families in our area. He started donating the meat because I dont eat it and I dont cook it (yuck). I have an idea of who might have told these guys about where our house is and what was in it...but I cant prove it yet. It is so invasive to have complete strangers enter your home and not just take things...but to destroy and go through your stuff.....Ive never had anyone to go through my clothes or underwear before...but these guys did...and threw them all over the bedroom...looking for money or more guns I guess...which they didnt get because there werent any there. We are in the process of getting us a big safe now. The one we are probably going to go get is big enough to hold guns and has shelves in it to put jewelry or important documents...that kind of thing. I honestly never imagined this would happen to MY house because it is so secluded and no one ever comes to my house, partly because its too hard to find and it cant be seen from the road. As for any court dates that I hope will come ....I did finally talk to my DON and I told her that if they get these guys I will be going to court. They now have a new charge on them...arson. One of the 4 wheelers they stole to get to my house ...they set it on fire and left it on the side of the road at 2 am last week. Id like for this process to go faster so these guys can go to prison and be out of this small community..its as if they are doing more and more just to taunt the citizens here and the police. Ive been looking at as many people as I can lay eyes on..esp ones with tattoos on their necks like what these boys have. Luckily, my bosses seem to be behind me on this one which is very unusual....they normally wouldnt be this way but they have even brought me numbers and names of places that do good jobs on flooring since we have 3200.00 in damage to our carpets. What a mess. Keep your fingers crossed that we get these people OFF the streets and behind bars where they belong.

sounds like these boys need a good ol ass whoppen. never count on the law after all, they just show up post crime. really dosent make anyone safe to show up after you've been victomized.

Amen on that one! GEt this....they tell me they cant arrest these boys YET even though they have prints both finger and shoes, plus tracks from the 4 wheelers leading from MY house to one of their GF's house.....that is apparently not enough to search their homes or them or to even question them about this whole thing ...yet they tell me they are positive these boys are the ones who did it. Something about the 4th amendment BS. ....privacy acts.....so Im sitting here like...ok.....they wanna tell me about these idiots and THEIR privacy...and these guys can just come into mine and anyone elses home and vandalize it and take anything they want and nothing happen? OOOOOOOKKKKKK.....even worse...in the paper today I read that Raleigh NC...(I live in NC) the big main prison there is letting out a bunch of prisoners....7 of which were on DEATH ROW and the rest are serving life sentences...due to be SET FREE OCT 29th....with convictions of murder, rapes, and sex offenses.....ohhh boy...wont this be great having these asses on the loose.....some have been in there since the 70's so they should be ripe and ready to do their thing out here next week. shame on the system.

Ya, you count on the system. Things like they spend ALOT of money doing steroid stings, ***, why?! I dont care about what people want to do to there own bodies. And lets not forget the rest of the drugs that the Gov spends billions on for the war on drugs. If the gov controled it there wouldent be problems with dealers, or terorist's profiting. These prople are doing the drugs ANYWAY. We have people busted for pot in prision cells with rapest. Not right. Im not a user myself, but I DO support the human right to be one if I so choose, and to protect myself and my property. That being said, maby you should drag these punks over to your house, kick in your window, and put a few bullits in there carcus'. (got a bit ralled up there)

Well....I still keep getting the run around..Ive been tracking these guys jail records....since Oct when this happened...one guy has been arrested 3x, the other one 2x, the third one 1x. charges range from assault with a deadly weapon to probation and court violoations. they have since broken into several other places and pawned some jewelry that was stolen. Yet...they are free? The cops keep telling me its the judges decisions.....I think this is bull! I even drove by where they live....seen them out in the yard...I know what they are driving and what they look like in person now. Im still paranoid in my own home. Its like I hear every single noise in and outside the house now. I look around when Im outside just to see if I see anyone around and I get nervous just getting out of my car at night when I get home to go in my front door. This is no way to live. I had an alarm system installed but its still not gonna change the fact that strangers invaded my home and could be dumb enough to do it again..but if they do......Im ready this time. I told the detective that they are going to go in someones house thinking no one is home and they will not be judged by 12...they will be carried by 6 once they target the right house. As for the drugs they do.....I hope it gets the better of them eventually. Im still digging around on my own trying to find any missing links as to who was the culprit in informing these idiots of where my house is and what was in it. They knew exactly what they were coming in for. I think they needed things they could sell quick to get some drug money. I suspect its my husbands neice who was the one linked to them....she lied about knowing them and I have only seen her 1 time since this happened and she could not even look at me. I just wish there was a way I could prove it either way.

If they need you as a witness they will subpeana (?sp) you and your will have to let you off I beleive.
