I'm a new nurse, but I've had a "bad back" for almost all my life. I havent gone to any specialists or anything, and only consulted my PCP about back pain once back in August when I had unbearable sciatica for the first time. My back pain has become more and more prevalent recently.. it used to be more lumbar pain, but I've had more upper back aches lately, and I'm starting to wonder if its r/t my breast size (DDD). Need to get them cut down lol.
I'm getting ready to start working on Med Surg after only working in 2 ALFs, which is "light" in terms of moving, pushing, lifting, etc. I've considered buying a back brace, but I am not sure if that would help enough.
Do any other nurses here have back problems? Suggestions?
