AVC Fall 2021

Hi, anyone applying for AVC Fall 2021. I'm finally done with my prereqs and I just ordered my transcripts. Now I'm just waiting to take my TEAS before the deadline.

The dealine to have everything turned in has officially passed. Good luck to everyone who was able to apply. If anyone wants to share how many points you applied with please do. I was able to apply with 80 points. I'm still nervous though. on another note does anyone know if they deduct points for having any repeats ?

I didn't think points can be deducted for repeats. It is stated, an applicant can repeat a course once. So the new grade for the repeat would be counted.  I had 85 points.

It would be a sense of relief if we received notification the applications were received.

I don't have any repeats but my friend didn't apply because she has 1 repeat and someone told her they deduct for repeats.

Encourage your friend to get the information from the school directly.  I have been told information from other students and it turned out to be incorrect. ?

Y’all have so many points! LOL is this your first time applying? I don’t stand a chance against you guys ?

This is my first time applying. But I'm a returning student.

I read that they look more than just the points. They look at it holistically

@Cyla you're ri ght I think that othees give out false information so there would be less competition for them.

@aboeckman96 this is my first time applying for the RN I applied last year to the LVN and didn't get in. I took a CNA course which gave me 10 extra points. So if you don't get in this semester do a CNA course

@Cyla where did you hear that ?  Quezada told me it was all about points unless there was a tie breaker

Is everyone here a current AVC student I wonder if we took any classes together

A student scored high on TEAS but the other sections were not so good.

So, maybe holistically isn't the correct term.  But perhaps the other all points from each section.

My friend mentioned one student scored 88 on the TEAS the other 65 and they both got in.  So maybe each section is looked at individually
