Anyone taking ATI exams?

I think the med surg is 68.7 for a level 2. I'm taking it on dec. :) when do you take yours?

I took this recently and it was still the 2013 version. I read the ATI Med Surg Book (the entire thing), did all the practice assessments and also download the RN Mentor App that was helpful too.

When did you take it center court? I think my program switched over to 2016 but I don't know ..

Does anyone have any advice or tips for med surg or mental health?

Took mental today. The minimum for level 3 is 85%, which is higher than some others. Lots and lots of drugs. That I had never heard of. So, memorize all those.

I took this last week of September.

Did you take the 2013 or 2016 version. Also what was the cut off for a level 2?

Lastly, did the practice assessments help?

Eh, on the practice assessments, ours were 2013. The test I took was 2016. The range for Level 2 is 66.7 to 83.3.

So you don't think the practice assessments helped? I take Mental Health next friday and i'm scared too death

I feel like practice assessments mostly reinforce how to answer ATI questions, it doesn't really matter which one you take. The content will be different from your actual exam, and mental has a lot of diverse content. You also need to know lab values and meds. I would focus on the meds, not just the expected ones like antipsychotics, and SSRIs - know them all, from the 2016 book (generic names only).

Hi @bunnehfeet, I was wondering if you would be willing to share your focused review for mental health with me if you don't mind. I take the 2016 mental health in the upcoming week and I wanted to see the types of questions that's on the exam so I can get a good grasp of it. Thank you for your tips!!!

I mainly did practice exams (A and B) on ATI's website, I read the most current ATI mental health book, and I did card sets on Quizlet. If you do a search for ATI and Mental, you'll get cards people have made with practice questions and meds. If you understand how to care for patients with various disorders, and what meds go with which disorder and what to watch out for with those common meds, you'll be in good shape. Good luck!
