Associates in science

Published

I got accepted to the Assoc. in Science in Bergen Community College, NJ. Am i still able to take the pre requisites that i want for the college I am transferring after 2 years?

Specializes in Emergency Nursing, Pediatrics.

That'd be a great question for your college advisor.

Specializes in ER/Tele, Med-Surg, Faculty, Urgent Care.

Why do you need an Associate in Science (and what can you do with that degree?). If you want to be a nurse you should be taking pre-requisite courses towards getting into a nursing program.

Specializes in Case mgmt., rehab, (CRRN), LTC & psych.

You can bypass the associate in science and just complete the prerequisite courses required by the nursing school that you hope to attend. An associate of science is a springboard for further studies, but it has zero value in the job market.
