Arrested but not convicted

I think it entirely depends upon how the situation was handled by you.

You do not have to commit a crime to have your license suspended/revoked. In Arizona a married couple lost their license because they were producing Media.

If you were arrested for a crime that demonstrated a certain lack of morality or something that could potentially harm your patients I could see the board wanting to have a chat with you.

Whatever you do, hiding the issue or denying it is a surefire way to feel the displeasure of the board.

This is one of those spots where you need to talk to a lawyer.

You are going to hear responses along the lines of:

"But you have to tell the BON... self disclosure b/s"

or

"Don't ask, don't tell"

I'll summarize with one final thought. How many times have you seen nurses come on here after having shot themselves in the foot for disclosing something to their BON?

It is my understanding that the BON will find out even if you don't tell them and it doesn't bode well for you. Lawyer up.

You might want to PM a mod to see if you can change the title of your thread. Not only is there a typo, but I thought it was about a patient arresting.
