Are there LPN to RN online programs other than Excelsior?

Hi to all,

I am looking for an online LPN-RN program other than Excelsior? Excelsior seems to be way to expensive. They have a required $390 information literacy course which has nothing to do with nursing which I find an outrageous price. Someone please help, I really need to further my education as a RN but I can't afford to quit work to attend a traditional nursing programs. So any suggestions would be helpful.

thanks

I don't know of any other online LPN to RN courses. A couple of organizations out there like The College Network will try to convince you they are colleges but all they are is booksellers for Excelsior courses so it's the Excelsior price plus the College Network book price added.

As far as Information Literacy, check out Penn Foster College (online) which offers an Excelsior acceptable Info Lit course for $70 which transfers either for free or maybe it was $10. I know it works, it's currently on my transcript. Also, I was able to complete it in an afternoon instead of the 8 weeks required by the Excelsior program.

wow thats a plus..thanks so much for your help!

What state do you live in? Univ. of Phoenix has an LPN-BSN program in CA, CO, and TX. I graduate from UoPx in CO here in 4 weeks.

The OP is looking for an online program. These you mention are campus-based, yes?
