I am getting really excited to apply. Because I had to take CHM 101 this semester I will have to wait till May 11th before I can even turn in my checklist.
Well, since I am the only person here applying to Fall 09 I will continue this conversation with myself until somebody else joins me!
I contacted the school today because I was worried that there wouldn't be sufficient time between the end of Spring semester(May 11th) and the application deadline(May 25th). The administrative assistant assured me it wouldn't be a problem because the turnaround for approved checklists is very quick because all of the advisors know that students needs them in order to apply by the deadline. Very good to know. I will probably just mail it out on May 8th, since they won't be able to approve it until the grades are posted.
I can't wait!!!!!!!!!

I'm GRADUATING this may (whoo hoo!) but I do know someone who is applying. she was just asking me how long was it in between turning in my checklist and getting the application . . . of course I have no clue cuz that was 2 years ago . . . . I just don't remember. I do remember being in your exact situation, I had to take both Chem & NAS in the spring, & couldn't apply until my grades were up, so I had like a week to get it in. I was very panicked, but the year I applied they took all applicants, so obviously I got in.
Best of luck!

I just found out new information today. Apparently the school has switched from the HESI to the TEAS. I already took the HESI and I was worried that I wasted $75 on taking a test that is no longer good but I called the nursing helpline and the lady I spoke with assured me that the HESI results are good for people applying this Fall but anybody who hasn't taken the HESI will now have to take the TEAS. I am glad I followed instructions and took the test as soon as I got the chance! Good luck to anyone who will have to take the new test.
So they switched from the TEAS to the HESI and now back to the TEAS? How confusing! Guess the HESI wasn't working out for some reason.

Ya, used to be TEAS, and they changed the rules with TEAS, then to HESI, now back to TEAS,lol We take at least 1 HESI exam each semester, and they are a pain, lol
I heard that. It is one of two reasons why I went out and bought the study guide (after selling it) plus I think the math review portion of the book is GREAT!
At 1 time with the TEAS, if ya failed 1 section, you just had to redo that 1 section. Then it was changed, if ya failed one section, it was a complete redo!! Best of luck

I was applying for the fall but my job contract was renewed so I'm going to work another year and will apply for the in-person accelerated next summer. It graduates about the same time and I won't have to struggle for two years financially. I guess I'll have to pick up a TEAS study guide now. Thanks for the heads up, FutureNOVARN!
I really want to apply to the Momentum 2+1 program but I just can't see going that long without working. I feel guilty that my husband supports our family. I know this is very common for many families around the world but it's already been two years since I have worked and the momentum program will add an entire year to the mix. My husband says he supports me but I can't help but feel bad...what do I do?
I haven't worked since Dec 2004 when I arrived here from Canada, lol If one can afford not to work, sure makes studying easier.
The Momentum program is only for kids straight out of high school. You can't have college credit so, I pretty sure you wouldn't be able to go that route.
Just do the traditional program, get a job and have the hospital pay for your BSN. I'm going to do the same except for getting an MSN, since I already have a bachelors.
