Am I ready?

Hello everyone.

I graduated on June 25, took a week long review course, had a Mosby test in school which i recieved a 76% to pass the boards. We also did the Arnett testing the passing rate was .2800 my score was .48.

I have been doing questions everyday aleast 150 and scoring around 69-76%. I am scared that these scores are not high enough to pass the boards.

I am using the Incredibly Easy Q&A, the Drexel Excel program, and Sandra Smith Review for NCLEX_RN.

I am scheduled to take the test on 7/31. just one week away.

BTW- I am not spending all day studing. I will study for about 2-3hrs per day which includes the question.

SO do u think I am ready to PASS the boards next week?

TIA

Anyone?

Yea, you are probably ready. I bet you'll be surprised when you see it and think that you even over-studied.

Sorry, but I take the other approach, if you do not feel comfortable enough with the material and ned to ask others if you are ready, then it means that you do not think that you are. I would delay the exam until you feel more comfortable.

But the choice needs to be yours, not what one of us thinks.

If you feel ready, then do so.

I agree with suzanne. I am taking the test this Wed., 7/26 , and although I'm a little nervous, I know that I did everything I possibly could to prepare (which included several diagnostic tests, a Kaplan review course and 2,000 questions in 4 weeks). I just finished taking my last practice exam. With your percentages, it sounds as if you're ready. If I were you, I would also look at how many you get right in a row, as my review course teacher told me that this is what really makes the difference in the NCLEX. A string of 8-14 questions correct in a row is what really gets you above the NCLEX baseline into the passing range. I feel that I'm ready to answer anything they throw at me. If you don't feel confident or ready at this point, don't take the test. If you force yourself to take it at a point where you're not ready, you might be ridden with anxiety on exam day...not a good thing! Good luck to you!

I will focus on the number that i am getting correct in a row. I will focus on getting more in a row.

I never really get stressed out on test. I feel that i am taking test to get the concepts down on how to answer the questions. While in school I could take a test and feel good about and pass it. I got to the point of thinking the test were not so bad.

I asked if I was ready is because I see others taking test and geting similar test scores. I feel that I should be getting higher score. That is all. I do feel that I will pass it.

TIA

Great! I'm sure you will do well! I wish I was one of those people that didn't get nervous or stressed before a test! Especially this test! Good luck Tammy!
