Allnurses.com ROCKS!!!!!!!!

This is for everyone here at allnurses.com: Today as surfed the internet, I searched for other nursing bulletin boards. Wow what interesting worlds I uncovered. I found one and decided to read thru some of the posts out of curiosity. Man...... How sad it made me. One student had asked a question about the difference between LPN/LVN And an RN. SImple question right? WEll she was slammed because she had RN in her Name. She apologized , said she was almost ready to graduate so she figured it was ok to put it there. I understand some people may have been upset because she wasn't technically a nurse yet but geeez some of the horrible things they said to her were uncalled for. I just wanted to say thanks to all of you here that don't mind us students participating in all the conversations. We learn so much from you. We ,as students, are new at all of this, and sometimes we don't know things we say are wrong or maybe even stupid!! But all of the ALLNURSES clan, have never been anything but friendly and sweet to me.THANKS!!!!!!!!!!!!

Thanks to Brian for keeping all this going. I am also new and just love this BB. I learn so much from all of you, my friends. That is what you have become to me. Hubby thinks I am addicted!:chuckle

I also find this the best BB. About a year ago I was ready to throw in the towel because of things I did not like where I was working. Getting on here I found that all of the things I had problems with are universal to nursing. We all have to deal with them and finding out I am not alone has truly helped so much. I too have learned a lot here. Thanks to all.

Brian, I just wish this site WASN'T so addicting! My house needs cleaning! I love it here-- even more than my DH loves TV!

I agree with everyone! This site has really helped to expand my limited mind about nursing and everything that goes along with it. I just started nursing school so this has definitely been encouraging to me to stick with the program!
