With regards to Florida (IPN) they refer us to that “Talbot guide to Recovery” thingy which lists meds in categories that are A, B and C...definite NO, sort of okay with permission and generally safe, respectively. Best bet is to get an official OK from your case manager. Also we are told that regular Claritin and Zyrtec (without the -D) is ok. I have non stop allergies and have had a head full of snot for 5 years. Ironically, when trapped in that ridiculous scary excuse for “inpatient treatment” they gave me Allegra D. Looking back, I have to laugh at the sheer idiocy. When this crap is done, one of the first things I am doing is finding an decent allergy med.
You might find seeing your doc and getting a script for whatever works for you and having it listed on your med list (not medical advice, just a possibility.)

Sounds silly but Ive been scared to death to take anything but Motrin since this whole process started but I’m ready to rip my nose off my face with these south Texas allergies .... I know the TPAPN guidelines say Claritin and Zyrtec are usually safe to take but has any one had any bad/good experience with taking allergy meds while in the program???
