All this class time is having an effect...

Just realized today when I got home from the grocery store that I'm thinking "like a nurse". I had a bag of Blue Bell ice cream sandwiches that have been out too long.. Getting all melty, had to make a longer than anticipated stop on the way home. I ALSO had to pee realllllly bad. All the way from the car to the kitchen I was thinking "which is my priority? If I take the time to put this ice cream in the freezer, I might pee in my pants... How important is it to me that my ice cream get in the freezer right this minute? Assess the fullness of my bladder and consistency of the ice cream"

My bladder won, the ice cream could wait another 2 minutes...

Just thought my thought process was really funny and new to me. (I just finished my first two weeks;Exam 1 is Monday!) I LOVE nursing school so far!

"Assess the fullness of my bladder" literally LOLing

That is awesome! You never know when the nursing thought process will creep in!!

Very funny! I was at zumba class the other night and said something about having tachypnea. Surprisingly, no one had a clue what I meant.
