AHPRA Delivers Student Register
05 Apr 2011
A national Student Register is now in place, meeting a core requirement of the National Law.
The CEO of the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA), Mr Martin Fletcher, said the Student Register would be maintained by AHPRA to reflect the profile of students as advised by Australia’s education providers.
I am a US nurse, just submited my papers to AHPRA about 3 weeks ago. I know they said 3 months, but i was just wondering if anybody had any personal experiences about how long it actually took them? any tips etc? thanx!
Yes u have to wait for 3 months, u have the experience there in US, why u never apply for PR directly?
or why not apply for 24 weeks bridging program in Univ.of South Australia, that one will not require AHPRA approval
all u need 2 yrs.work experience...
I suppose because a US nurse does not need to Do a bridging courseHonestly everyone tells different stories including grads here. Would lay a bet that it will be at least 6weeks though. We have just begun renewals though, whether this makes a difference or not.
Yes, but u suppose to do PR directly.....anyways 3 months is not that long...our nurses waited that long too...not bad...
Hi everyone! I'm set to apply for registration to APHRA. I'm a nurse here in the Philippines and I'm interested to work in Victoria. I understand that registration to APHRA is the first step right? How long does it usually take before u get their decision letter? What does it usually say to a registered nurse applicant with more than 3 years experience in the Philippines?
I would really appreciate any input. I'm just starting with the whole process of trying to work abroad and need all the advise I can get. Thanks a lot.
