Take a look under International Nursing Forum....all your questions have been asked before and are answered there.
Good luck.

you can check out the previous threads here regarding the study tips in NCLEX and regarding the agency... you have to be careful when choosing one... i heard there are a lot of agencies who took advantage on phil nurses... :)
well... keep in touch... :)

If youre planning take the NCLEX with the help of an agency and you are a fresh graduate.. well i dont think that they can help you because they only assist nurses who had years of experiece in a hospital.. meaning they are very picky to those people that they would assist. have the experience first then apply to an agency.

Definitely not true. There are hospitals that will employ new grad foreign nurses in the US.
Work experience in the Philippines will not matter in terms of work experience for the US. You will start out at the new grad rate, unless you have years and years and years of experience. Working in the US is quite different from working in your country.

Hi!
I would suggest to you to look out on every states' nursing board, particularly where you want to work in the US.You can apply directly for an NCLEX, first, as soon as you already have the NCLEX, it will be easy for you to look for a hospital that will sponsor you.No need for an agency, as long as you keep on looking for guidance here, and you also have finances to apply for the NCLEX first.I tell you, once you already passed the NCLEX, friends can help youu find a hospitals here.Check on your friends especially those who are on this route of directly applying.

Sorry but that is old information, and was written more than 16 months ago, and is no longer even a sticky.
Please refer to the Primer at the top of the International Forum for current information.
The agency route is definitely not the fastest. Please do some reading here.
