Also they can test you as many times as they want and as close together as they want. Can’t remember specifics but at one point I had been tested like 3 times in a month, but USUALLY it was once a month. But don’t bank on it being once monthly as it could be more if you get a dilute or I even got retested a few times for being dehydrated. My urine was too concentrated. There is a happy medium you can my be too hydrated or too dehydrated. It’s freakin nuts, I swear. But like I said before...it’s do-able. You can make it through IF you do it exactly right and take no and I mean not one chance. I would be sick and would not dare take any OTC meds. Go to the doc and get prescription meds only.

So I lift got a dilute test..I recieved a letter stating they will do more in depth test>..does any1 know what kind of test? Also for how long? Will I ever go back to standard test? Is this test more money?

Yes when you get a dilute i believe they will do a blood test and it will be more money.

But then your next test given the blood test is negative will w back to normal urine screens

What all does the blood test test for and how far back does it go..I got selected for a special test and its 130!! Plus 40.50 for them to do it smh!!

It will test for everything under the sun and unsure of how long it goes back for...google Peth test and maybe that will give you more info.

This info is from 2012 and I don’t think ALL $$ is accurate, but I’d be surprised if the panels and what they’re testing have changed much (if at all).

So if I’m reading this correctly....anyone who is an affinity client is getting charged *double!* the amount for the standard testing for all the usual things. Hmmmm...not shocking... Given that I recall being told there was a form that i could use to apply for reimbursement from my insurance...a lie, of course. Insurance isn’t going to pay for something not prescribed by a doctor and for which they are not given a CPT code for. So no, not reimbursable. Also, if by some miracle they did, I am reasonably sure that it would be for far far less than the participant had to shell out up front.

Yet another confirmation that these programs are all about the money...yours going to them. Very sad, indeed.

I pay $45 for A 763829 at LabCorp as listed by the description. I’ve had to do another one and it was like $5 more that what was listed on that sheet but definitely not double.

No. I don't know what the Affinity test is but I was just charged $45 for the A-panel when I was in KNAP.

Affinity being one of the major “3rd party” testing arms for these programs, it does not shock me that 1) it’s not easily determined exactly what you’re being tested for (which is fine given that just about everything except Tylenol is verboten- I exaggerate a little, but still) and 2) I suspect that if ones drills down enough, one might find that there are some of the same names among those with ownership interest in rehabs and/or background with these programs and the testing companies. This whole thing is a nice little profit generating racket for those with zero scruples.

That screenshot (at least the way I read it) seems to say that there is one price for most and another larger or additional charge if you are unfortunate enough to be an affinity client.

Hell, after the last 6+ years?? Nothing bizarre about any of this should be any great shock.
