Dont forget Metro Health. I work at CCF and they have merit based raises, raises for getting certs, ebola team etc. UH has a few automatic pay raises and Im sure similar opportunities. VA is fed govt so Im not exactly sure but I know they pay well, probably the best in the Cleveland area. Metro and UH would be next. CCF is the lowest of all the hospitals.
Around 34-35/HR. The huge draw to work there was always PERS but they have drastically changed a lot of the benefits and how long you have to work before retirement. You used to get full medical for you and your spouse, out in 30 years regardless of age, and payout of all sick time accrued. Not anymore.
Now to to even participate on most committees you have to have a BSN, they removed all that didn't with their last Magnet renewal. Some positions get a stipend and charge nurses get a dollar more, but their are no other rewards. Money is always tight working for a county hospital. We do have the highest tuition reimbursement in the area. I believe around $4000/year.

Hi all,
I was looking for info about advancement opportunity as well as raise schedule for RN's in north east Ohio. How often are RN's evaluated and eligible for raises? Do advancement opportunities seem plentiful or scarce?
This is in regard to CC, UH, VA.
Thanks!
