Dec 15, 201114 yr Author I made it out alive, how is everyone else doing? If you still have finals good luck. If you are waiting on your grade like me, I hope the wait goes fast.
Dec 15, 201114 yr Hey all! It's nice to know that I'm not alone on this journey. I'm blessed to be apart of an awesome group. I started the ASN program Oct. 13th and we'll be starting clinicals at the end of Jan. I'm scared, excited and ready! GOOD LUCK EVERYONE!!!!!!
Dec 15, 201114 yr made it thru my 1st semester with a B! We had an exam a week for each of our classes....so im READY for winter break!
Jan 7, 201214 yr Just wanted to give an update to the start of Spring Semester. I think I forgot to post about my B last semester (beep-beep). Anyway, I am determined to do better. I have NUR 112 for the first 8 weeks, (if I pass or when I pass) taking NUR 114 for the remaining semester and AP II the whole semester. I have a good start thus far. Reading anyway. Crossing my fingers about the med competency test we took today. I am not scared but whenever I am not scared I mess up a little. Pray that I don't because we have to get a certain grade and if that grade is not reached in 3 attempts, your out of the program. So its a big deal. I will try to keep you updated
Jan 7, 201214 yr Author I'm still on break until the 20th. I have OB then med-surg, and pharm. What are your classes? The reading assignment, and changes in our schedule is making me very nervous. I have a paper to write about my OR experience. I am going to two new hospitals for clinicals and the one from last semester for my OR day. My OB rotation is with my favorite instructor. I'm really excited about this semester I can't stop reading ahead. I was talked into running for SNA general officer but I'm deciding if its worth it. Apparently one hospital recruits new grads that were officers? That might make it worth the effort. either way this semester is going to be fun and a wild ride. I'm shooting for a better grade, I would really like an A.
Jan 8, 201214 yr Hey all! I survived first semester as well. Got 2 B's! I am on break until the 23rd then I jump into med surge and mental health! I am also running for VP for the SNA!
Jan 10, 201214 yr Past my Med Competency Test! Went today to see which ones I missed and she was like "Porsche, you didn't miss any" Get it now. If I can do this on the theory tests, I will be awesome.
Jan 10, 201214 yr Taking Advance Pharm, Med Surg, and Mental Health this semester..Got two A's, a C and a B last semester so need to do a little better! Good luck everyone! we will make it this semester! we are getting closer and closer to the finish line!!
Jan 11, 201214 yr We're starting Nursing Agency I this week which is our Med-Surg/Pharm class. I am getting more and more nervous as the days get closer. I have no idea what to expect and I think the fear of the unknown is what is making me freak out. At the same time though, I know deep down I am really excited to begin the "real" stuff, kwim? We can do it! We have come this far, and the way I see it, quitting is not an option! :)Ashley
