Admin and scrubs

Call me crazy but I hate seeing people who aren't working directly w/ patients (nurses, ma, doctors, RT, etc) wearing scrubs. People who are doing admin duties should be wearing casual business attire (slacks or khaki's and a polo shirt). People who are doing housekeeping should be wearing a uniform, same as the maintenance personal.

I may change my mind once I become a nurse but as a patient it just makes more sense. As for the different departments wearing a specific color, most patients won't be able to tell a difference.

I really don't think it is any of my business what other people wear in the workplace. Dress code is up to administration.

It doesn't matter to me who wears what. They could be sitting there naked for all I care.

I just want to work with people who do their job effectively - clothing is optional!

Lol, thats kind of what I thought. Whats with all the concern that people are just living to impersonate nurses?

Considering that some offices i've been to have a bunch of people in a variety of scrubs, no nametags, and people who say "I'm the nurse", i'm quite concerned. I prefer not to ask the secretary about the result of my UA, but i'm weird like that.

I've never encountered someone saying "I'm the nurse" that wasn't "the nurse" so maybe thats why I don't get it. Did you report the person?

I've also seen several threads on here regarding the same problem. I work with a few people who encountered the same problem. It's definitely not an isolated issue. I'm all for lessening the confusion, and while nametags with clearly printed titles on them, i really do not get why front office administrative staff would have to wear scrubs.
