Accepted-Now having second thoughts

Hey gang,

Anyone else having second thoughts about going to nursing school? I'm accepted for the fall--and wanted it SO bad. Now I'm doubting my decision. Is this just fear? I'm Sooo confused. Am I the only one feeling this way?... Thanks for listening.

I also have second thoughts, and im glad im not the only one!! Im very nervous, and scared as well, because i dont know what to expect! I guess i just have to go forward and try to give it my all. Good luck every one. I hope we all get over this!! So we can move on to the Nursing students board!!

Welcome!!

I'm in the second semester of an ASN program, and I have talked to about 1/3 of my classmates who are having second thoughts STILL, lol!! We're all wondering what the heck we're doing and why we thought we wanted to do this to ourselves!!

I know just before I quit my well-paying IT job last fall to start school, that I also had second thoughts. But I knew that I would've spent a lifetime wondering and possibly regretting about how things would have worked out if I DIDN'T give myself this shot. You would too.

Jump in with both feet; keep showing up until they tell you ya' gotta' leave, and best wishes!!

I have second thoughts every day. I can't tell you how many times I have registered for my pre-reqs, dropped them, only to regret it and re-register for them again. I keep getting cold feet but am fairly confident that once I start taking classes again (I've been on a 1 year hiatus to have my daughter) I'll feel better about it. All I have to do is look at my little family and remember why I am doing this......
