Acceptance to NVCC Fall 2011 Program!!!

I just got my letter too! I got in. Whew! I've been stalking my mailman all morning. As requested, here are my stats:

Cum. GPA- 3.66

TEAS overall score- 90%

4.0 in all prereq.'s

Previous Degree: AS

According to the letter, info on the background check/drug test is supposed to be attached, but it's not in my packet. Anyone else notice this?

Congrats to all of you. I just started to take pre-reqs so it's going to take a while before I apply. I was aiming for Fall 2012 but will have to postpone after going for BIO141, 142, micro via NAS route because I don't have a year of college chemistry. It's a good motivator to read this thread. Congrats again and good luck to all of you! :)

You should double check, but I'm almost positive you do NOT need a year of chem for Bio 141 and 142... and if you get your RN, NAS 161/162 will transfer to GMU...

There was no change in black board for me... Nor am I seeing an "active in program-AAS Nursing" on my Academic Advising report.

I got in, too!!! Congratulations to everyone else! I saw that you all got your letters so I ran upstairs and asked my mom if she checked the mail today and she hadn't yet so I grabbed the mailbox key and literally sprinted down the street in the rain to the mailbox haha. See you all at orientation!

Think positive ashley14 I'm pretty sure you have nothing to worry about. Praying for you the waiting is crazy

The year of chemistry is required for BIO 205 (Microbiology). I am thinking of applying for GMU's accelerated BSN program, which does not take NAS 161/162. congrats again!

For people who got in by the way which tracks did you guys apply to?

@SuzyQ, I took my basic chem (CHM101) online through Southside University Community College over the summer. It was entirely online, including the labs!!! They are a VCCS school and it transferred into NVCC without a hitch. It's probably not too late to join the class. I believe it was a 10 weeker. I took BIO 141/142 and micro combo.

@Everyone else - YAY!!! Congratulations. I can't wait to meet you all. Didn't it say we would be buying our books at orientation? How can we buy our books if we haven't signed up for our classes yet? Did I read that wrong? I'm just so excited.
