Hello Spring hopefuls!
I am in LA and applied to 6 local community colleges for Spring 2012. The wait is absolutely killing me. Every day when I open the mail box I get a twinge of anxiety....only to find nothing there. Anyone else out there in the LA area that has applied to local schools? Share your stories!
I applied to:
College of the Canyons-already got a denial from them
Pasadena City College
Glendale Community College
LA County
Los Angeles Community Collge
LA Valley College
Hopefully we hear something soon!!!

I received my acceptance letter from LA County today. Good luck!
I know that LA County was points based. Do you mind sharing your info? How did you do on the TEAS V?
Thanks and congrats to you!!!

Good luck- the wait is almost over. You know what got me through the wait? I convinced myself there was no way I was going to get accepted, so I wasn't really looking for an acceptance. Then, last week, I clicked on my email and my letter was just there-- I wasn't expecting it-- once you stop looking it'll be there!
Where did you get accepted mjmoon? Congrats!!
Thank you. Now instead of worrying about whether or not I will get in, I get to worry about covering all the expenses.
I had 65 points from the pre-requisite classes (one B for anatomy), 20 points for the TEAS (80+% overall), and 0 bonus points. Total of 85 points. I won't lie, even after I got my TEAS results I was stressing about being accepted.
Congratulations, mjmoon!

OMG I would be going nuts if I was still waiting to hear. Hope you hear soon.
I found out over a month ago that I'd be starting school January 6th. In the past all physicals and proof of insurance etc. was turned in on day 1 of the program. I figured I'd get all this done between our orientation and the first day of class. We just had the first part of our orientation Monday and found out we have 6 business days (in about 2 weeks) to get our PPD and physicals completed and turned in. We can not have them done before X date and they must be turned in no later than 4 pm Y date!!!!! Yikes! Fortunately, I went Tuesday morning and was able to schedule appointments with my health department for some missing immunizations and to get the PPD. I also found a walk-in clinic where I was able to schedule my physical.
