acceptance letters from nursing programs

Published

Hi.. I'm wondering when everyone got their acceptance letters into their ADN program. Specifically Butler CCC in El Dorado KS. I applied to the fall program and have been on pins and needles since. The woman that tallies up the points was pretty confident i made it. The cut off date for applications was May 20th.

If they JUST stopped taking apps, it'll probably be at least a couple of months before they notify you. My school stopped taking apps in January, and notified in April. Different schools are on different schedules.

Just a friendly heads up, you may want to change your avatar to something more anonymous. You never know who may come across your posts, and anonymity is highly regarded on AN! :)

All programs are different. Would be best to call the admissions office and just ask, if it is not specified somewhere on their website (usually it is).

LOL, I just noticed you said the deadline was 5/20. Give it some time! It's not always months, especially if no essay was required, but probably will be at least 4-6 weeks before you hear anything. Again, someone in the admissions office will probably have a rough estimation. You don't have to tell them your name when you call. ;-)

Specializes in ICU/ Surgery/ Nursing Education.

Not sure about your program but for mine the letters were received 3 weeks before the start of the program. It may not take that long for you because the program I finished was going through a change in leadership. It is hard to wait but try to relax and get some rest.

I applied September 1st at WSU and was informed in October. :) Thought about doing Butler though because I did my prereq's there. Good program and the best lab in the state. :) Good Luck!

What were your scores?!? Most of the people that applied previously heard back by the first week of June.
