Hello. If you are willing to travel...apply to Mass college of pharamacy and Health science's accelerated 16 month BSN for those with a previous bachelor degree. It's not easy to get into but you should apply. You need the following prereqs (at least C in each class I think) Anatomy and Physiology 1 and 2. Chemistry 1 and 2. Microbiology. Statistics. Human Growth and Developement. I think that's it. Obv letters of recc. Go on the website.

I went to the school.....program is SUPER!!!!! intense but do-able. My first bachelor degree was a B.S. in Exericse & Sports Science so I had a bunch of those prereqs already. I wouldn't work during it. It goes by fast....16 months and you got your BSN!

Having a masters won't help you get in....but just curious, what is your masters degree in ??

WGU may be an option, with sufficient time and motivation, it's possible to finish a BSN in six months.

I'm a long time accelerated BSN grad and I have kept an interest in similar programs for quite a while. None of the programs that I am familiar with are "easy to get in". Most require a long list of pre-reqs, even with whatever degrees you already have. Brace yourself for some up front time investigating programs and their individual pre-reqs since they are all different.

Cash helps. a lot.

If you want a school that's "easy" to get into -- meaning they take most everyone, it does require a lot of cash. The less expensive schools are (usually) public institutions and can afford to be very competitive. Not sure if it's worth it to you ($$$)-- but you can get through this one pretty quickly. Last time I checked it was around $60K, but it is very accelerated which means you can be out and working after a year give or take a few months. They take almost everyone, but they also have a high failure rate. The tuition is high.

It's Kramer School of Nursing at Oklahoma City University. Added bonus: the cost of living is very reasonable in OK. Also very hot summers!

Best of luck.

"Unlike most schools offering bachelor's degrees in nursing, Kramer accepts all applicants, as soon as they are admitted to the university, with no separate application. Anyone admitted to OCU can declare a major in nursing from the beginning, belong to the Student Nurses Association, participate fully in the nursing school activities, have a nursing faculty advisor, and spend no time on a waiting list! You can start nursing courses as soon as you have:

  • A 3.0 cumulative GPA or higher
  • Grades of C (2.0) or higher in prerequisite science courses
  • English proficiency
  • Not more than 9 credit hours of general education courses remaining"

Does Kramer also have a med school where they accept anyone?

You can try the University of Rochester...only about an hour father than Buffalo. It is a competitive program, but your grades and experience look good. They offer admission 3X per year - January - May - September. It's a 12 month program.
