Hi,

UTMB in Galveston now has a 12 month accelerated BSN that starts in MAy

Texas Woman University has one for the houston campus, u have to already have a BA or BS degree. It is a 13mth program, U can not work, get pregnant, or have a life. but the good news is, that u will have a BSN in 13mts.

Are the GPA's of the entering accelerated class as high as the GPA's in the traditional program?

Will they admit men?

UTMB in galveston does have a BSN acc. program. THe first admit students will grad. with my class on the 22nd. They only admitted 10, 9 remain, but all say it was the hardest thing they've been through. Most have a GPA now @3.5 or lower, that had very high GPA's going in. I admire anyone that can get through an accel. program. It looks super hard, they take over 20+ hours a semester, plus clinicals, and all that nursing school forces students to do...

Good luck,

Shirley

UT Austin has one.

Ut Austin does have one for students that already have an ungrad degree. It's a master's program so you end up with an MSN, the only problem is that I've been told that even though you have an MSN you can't not become an NP, only an RN. But you'll still be considered an "advanced practice nurse." I believe the program is like 3 years long. Also, I've heard that it is not so hard to be accepted into the alternate entry programs as it is to be accepted into the regular programs for BSN. I've been considering doing that....
