ACC Fall 2019 Mobility Program

Hello, I figured I would start a conversation since I haven't read anything in regards to ACC's lvn to rn program. I applied to the mobility program fall 2019. I was wondering if anyone knew how many are accepted into the program and also how is their ranking process. I believe if I calculated correctly I have 40 points. When will we find anything out?

How did you calculate your score?

I'm not a LPN but a surgical tech and also applied for fall mobility. I haven't heard anything but a coworker of mine said the application was extended (she said this was from Cindy to her via email), although I don't see that on the website. I really wish I knew the rough timeframe to expect to hear something. I also applied to a program out of Austin and had to do a 6 month lease to be able to move if thats the decision. Please update should you hear any updates! Ill do the same. Good luck!

Yeah I called the office this morning the application deadline has been extended and they couldn’t give me an answer as to when we would be hearing anything.

I noticed they extended the deadline until March 25 aargh!! Why do they extend??

This is how i calculated my points... This ranking score is used to select qualified applicants for admission into the ADN Program. The formula is as follows: Rank = (Nursing GPA) X (# of degree plan courses completed) + (HESI Points) + (Review points earned)

Reading their website those who are not LVNs will get an email regarding registering for Nursing Skills 1105 and this class is taken during the summer.

It is nerve wrecking but if I hear anything I will post asap!!

Thank you for the formula. OMG I can’t believe they pushed it back.

wow, all the way back to march 25! That's disappointing... I had to really work it out to get it all in for that Feb 1 deadline and now more in the pool who didn't plan enough to meet the deadline. Doesn't seem fair but such is life. I'm now debating retaking the HESI for a better score. I wish the dates were updated on when to hear back!

y'all see they extended it again until May 24!? ?

Ugh! Yeah I noticed! That’s crazy. If we get accepted into the program we have to take summer classes which start in June I believe. That doesn’t leave much time to make arrangements. I wonder why they keep extending the deadline. Thoughts anyone?

I'm hoping it's because they need more applicants. I'm pretty frustrated because had I known they were going to extend it so far out I would've retaken a class. I hope this means we all have a good chance of being accepted! It's getting harder to be patient but I'm just trying to stay positive about it.

The coworker I mentioned before said that there wasn't enough applicants- that they needed 20 more seats! Idk if thats true but I wonder if they would cancel this cycle altogether. Otherwise, it seems we would all be accepted!

I have heard the same not enough applicants. I hope this is the case and that we are all basically accepted. It would be awesome.

I sent an email regarding the rnsg 1140 that LVNs will have to take and is offered in the summer and this was her response.

"1140 will be offered in the Summer and we will not send out 1140 petitions until the start of that semester or directly after.

Extending the deadline gives people more opportunity to apply, but if a student is still taking a course will not be able to factor those scores during the application process."

I guess for now it is a waiting process.

I was just in the office today. They told me there wasn’t enough applicants so they extended the deadline for students who needed just one or two more classes to finish. However the credits that they complete after the original deadline will not be factored into their score, they just needed a bigger pool of applicants. There still going through the traditional track applications but I was told that they were going to start looking through mobility on Monday and we’d all find out end of may. I asked about the summer classes as well and got the same answer. Everything’s going to happen rather quickly.
