Just wanted to start this thread for all of us applying to Duke ABSN program for Spring 2020. I submitted my application on March 10th. As I have read through the old forums, we should hear something by June 25th-ish.

I submitted my application on March 15th. I am anxious to hear back! It is very helpful to know we will hear around the end of June!

I just submitted mine! I'm super nervous, it was so hard to keep the essays within the one page limit. One of mine is one sentence over, hopefully that's not an automatic disqualification ?.

Does anyone know if we can re-upload new versions of essays on Self Service? It looks like the is the option to (where it says update), but on the website it says to only upload final documents. I found a small typo in one of my essays and would love it be able to change it before tomorrow if possible!

I don't think it would hurt to try, but you could email Benjamin and ask if you're unsure. He responded very quickly to a question I sent this morning.

I'm actually glad you mentioned that you barely submitted yours because so do I! I hope this doesn't count against us

I asked Ben about this and he said every version of the essay that you upload is visible to them but they will only choose the most recent one to review.

I can't imagine it would, unless they're doing rolling admissions (as far as I know, they aren't.) I wouldn't want to be submitting things on the 1st in case there were any issues with the server, but I really don't think it matters. I only learned about the program a few months ago and I wanted to make sure that everything was as high of quality as possible before I submitted ^^. Good luck!

I also applied! Submitted on 2/13. I'm not too hopeful as my cumulative GPA is like 3.44 but it never hurts to try!!

From what I’ve heard they look at applications holistically and take work experience, personal statements and recommendations into consideration just as much as GPA!
