  1. To everyone taking microbiology: You've got this, feel free to hit me up if you get stuck on anything! It's my all-time favorite subject, I actually tutored it for a few quarters at my local community college ;). To the NC natives / residents: Is Durham a nice city to live in? Is there a reason to consider renting a place in one of the surrounding towns like Apex, Cary, Cameron, Chapel Hill instead? I would love to learn more about the area, I've never been to the south let alone NC! Sooooo excited to meet you all ❤️
  2. I'm in, too!! So excited to meet everyone ❤️
  3. @renadad I'm still "ready for review" as well! I don't think we were tossed in a "do not consider" bin, my guess is that they simply haven't looked at them yet. If it's any consolation at all, I reviewed my stats with the admissions counselor before I applied and he seemed genuinely enthusiastic about my application. While that certainly doesn't mean that I'll be accepted, it does seem reasonable that my application will at least be considered. That's what I'm telling myself at least ^^. Try not to stress out too much, we got this <3.
  4. @renadadMine still says "ready for review" as well. I hope I did everything correctly! It made me nervous that there wasn't a final "submit" button, or a way to double check which files were uploaded after everything was done...
  5. I'm from Washington / California. Never been to the south!
  6. I can't imagine it would, unless they're doing rolling admissions (as far as I know, they aren't.) I wouldn't want to be submitting things on the 1st in case there were any issues with the server, but I really don't think it matters. I only learned about the program a few months ago and I wanted to make sure that everything was as high of quality as possible before I submitted ^^. Good luck!
  7. I don't think it would hurt to try, but you could email Benjamin and ask if you're unsure. He responded very quickly to a question I sent this morning.
  8. I just submitted mine! I'm super nervous, it was so hard to keep the essays within the one page limit. One of mine is one sentence over, hopefully that's not an automatic disqualification ?.
