In Florida, can a CNA draw blood? I do not see it under the Florida Nurse Practice act. I have heard that CNAs can be trained to do so without a phlebotomy cert. Can you clarify?
Also, outside of the CNA scope in the nurse practice act, it says (and I am para-phraising) a RN can delegate a task to a CNA if they feel the CNA is qualified. Would that include EKG?
Please let me know from your experiences in LTC or Hosp.
Thanks so much,
Brenney
