who is??

who is taking there pre-reqs to enter the RN program?

I think i might start...i dont this before tho....say i want to start then i talk myself out of it....saying i am to old,i wont get thru my math pre req,if i do get in.....can i do it.....if i do make it,wil i be a good RN.....then thereit goes...i talk myself out.....

so i think.....i will start with one class at a time...and that would be chem......i am thinking of the spring semester.....

i am thinking.....if i can handle the intense 10 mo program,i should be able to handle a class here and there.......that is what i planned on doing while was going thru the LPN program....graduate,become a LPN and start taking classes toward the RN program.....

so who here is taking classes??

I am just starting my pre-reqs jan 10 hopefully i will be done all my pre-reqs by the end of the year.

And what my Dad always says your never to old to learn!!!

Good Luck!!

i took most of the rn pre-reqs before entering the lpn program but they kept putting me on the "waitlist" so i did the lpn program.

i did my apii this summer i & micro this summer ii. now i am done with the rn pre-reqs except the "growth & development" class. will do that later.

you can take one class at a time. it's better than not taking any. good luck!

ugh I have the same problem... I did all my prerequisites. Im not going to lie. One semester I took A&P II and Chemistry and Human growth and development..and was working fulltime and ended up getting D's in all three classes. I retook those classes and got A's. So, I applied to this school in yonkers and took the TEAS entrance exam and after calling them I find out that the classes are full and that I have to wait till September and then I will be "considered" to start then. If I get accepted that it. So I'm thinking maybe taking a LPN program and getting an LPN certificate will help me later on in becomming an RN. I really don't know what to do. I need help!

I've just completed my first year of pre-reqs. One more year of pre-reqs. I can apply next summer for the nursing program that will start January '11. I will then graduate May 2012.

I was taking prerequisite classes in 2006 and 2007 for the RN program while working full time as an LVN on the weekend double shift. Since I had 5 days off in a row, the schedule enabled me to take an average of 12 to 15 credit hours (4 to 5 classes) per semester. My cumulative grade point average was a 3.6, so it is doable.

I have no kids, and I have never taken an online class.

I'll be finishing up my last pre-req, statistics, starting in Jan.

I got accepted into the LPN-RN transition program that starts May 2010!
