customized ultrascope

Hello,

I was interested in getting a customized ultrascope and wanted to know if anyone has experienced the sound quality compared to the non customized or other stethescopes? I am interested in getting the ultrascope duo to have an infant and pediatric head. I will be working on a pediatric unit and thought it would be fun and helpful to have a picture of my dog on it. :o

Thanks

I have a peds ultrascope and love it! I also have a Littman Cardiology III, and I think the sound quality is just about the same. The ultrascope is much lighter in weight, so if you carry it around your neck, you'll feel a difference.

I also considered a duo to have both the peds and infant head, but really, unless you're a NICU nurse, I don't think you need the infant head too. I've taken care of some little kiddo's (

Thx for the reply. The littman III was the other I was considering. the ultrascope being lighter would be a plus. I wish there was a store by me that I could test it out.

I just got accepted into nursing school and was looking at the ultrascope too! The reviews on the site say it's the clearest-sounding scope a lot of these people have had, but of course the website chooses all the best reviews and none of the bad ones to put up

I bought myself a personalized Ultrascope last year for my bday and don't regret it!!! It's great, lightweight, and sounds better than any other stethoscope I've tried. I highly recommend - especially because there's a lifetime warranty!!

I love mine and so do my patients and their visitors! I can hear much better out of it than I could out of a Litmann Select.

Ultrascopes are nice but someone at work just gave me a "Stethoscape" stethoscope. The one I used had a picture of a horse (I am a horse person) but you can get whatever you want...even your own pics! The sound quality is excellent, better than my old Littman.

Here is the website, http://www.stethoscapes.com

Nice. Thank you for the replies:):p

How about getting a DUO for children over 45lbs. to use the adult head. Anyone think they need that for teens or older children? Or does the regular pediatric work fine.

Thanks

I ordered an Ultrascope for nursing school after researching and reading reviews. I wanted a way to differentiate mine from the others in my program so decided designing my own through Ultrascope was the way to go. The sound quality is excellent and it is light! Basically, I think either brand is legitimately good it's just up to your preference.
