WCCCD Medical Math

Has anyone had a good experience with a medical math teacher? I am weak in math so I need an instructor that is not just giving out good grades but one that I can learn a strong foundation.

Thanks in advance

Hi. I had Maddie. She was great. Not too easy but very structured. Her sister Caroline also teaches it. They are both good. Hope this helps.

I had Dr. Gwendolyn Cook...excellent! She is very structured, wants you to succeed, and isn't afraid to give you tips for easier calculations. Math has always intimidated me (my highest section was business math - never took algebra either) and I thought I would be left behind from day-one. I earned an A and entered the nursing program with confidence for medication calculations.

Just my .02

Good luck!

I can tell you who not to take... Ms. Wofford. She is a great lady, very nice but she is too old too teach and will not give you what you need. Take Maddie, I personally do not like her as a person but she is an excellent teacher and if you apply yourself she will turn you into a math genius. haha I was never strong in math before but after taking maddie I have never gotten less than 100% on my math exams in clinical. That is very important especially because in ur 2nd year you must get 100% on those tests. She has this whole system that she follows and it works every time! Good luck

I highly recommend Caroline Peltz. She is wonderful.

Gwendolyn Cook is great! She is a really good teacher.
