Gateway's LPN Fast Track

Does anyone know any details on this program? The length, cost, start dates, how hard or easy to get in? I was considering it vs. Maricopa skills center. Thanks!

:yeah:

I am currently in this program!! It is not difficult to get into - last year there was no waiting list but now I am hearing there is a one semester wait. The cost is very low - Spring semester was around $700 and Fall was about the same. They gave us a box deal with all our books for the year plus a tote full of supplies for our labs that was about $500. They start every fall and spring. They have a day and evening program so this can work for just about everyone - working full time or part time. You do have to have some pre-req's (CNA, med term, CPR). The app is one Gateways website but its kinda hidden. Its on the far right hand side under the nursing tab.

I would def look into this program if you want to get into the nursing field. It is the same program as the regular RN program, the only down side is we have to take the HESI and score a 800 to go directly into the third block of the RN program. If you have all your pre-req's done.

If you want more info just PM me :yeah: I'd be happy to tell ya more!

So would this be a faster way to get into the nursing program?

Is this for if you are already an LPN?

No, its to become an LPN. In fall 2008 its only an evening program and the admission is competative.

Im bumping this thread up.....so others can get questions answered...

Yes please! Any info about the wait & if I turn my app in September if it will be possible to get in Jan??

Thanks!

Also, if anyone is or has been in the program, what are the hours for the night/day classes?

Thanks!! :)
