phen fen

 Has anyone ever took phen fen or know someone who has? Is anyone involved in the law suite?

I was just wondering because I did. And I was wondering if anyone knows the side effects?

Had a patient die not too long ago the went into pulmonary hypertension from it

I have a good friend, a nurse, who just had valve replacement surgery because of phen fen. She had no pre-existing condition. If you took phen fen, I'd strongly advise you to be screened for any effects.

I have known two people that have taken the drug. One was a young woman - early 20's, that I knew in college. She took it and stopped using it before there was any controversy surrounding it. She said that the reason she quit using it was because it gave her a "racing heart beat" and abnormal heart rythms which she could feel.

Another person I knew that took it was my husbands cousin. She had a car accident a few years ago. She was in her late 40's. The official police report said that she fell asleep at the wheel but my husbands aunt feels that the Phen Fen gave her a heart attack which made her loose control of the car and caused the accident. She believes this because of a police investigator's comments regarding the condition of the car after the accident and that it is most likely that his cousin was deceased at time of impact.

I would definately get checked out by a doctor just to be on the safe side and for some peace of mind.

Best Wishes, Col

A friend's mom had valve replacement surgery. She did get compensation, but I do not know the details.

I had a patient in LTC, 40s, who had had a stroke after taking phen/fen. He is now confined to wheelchair. I don't know anything regarding his compensation though.

I could use maybe just a months worth.

Maybe just a little heart attack then? Rusty, you're awesome without drugs....... But that could just be the words of that damn shrink creeping back up....

I'd advise a good screening for any of the effects too.

I took it for about 6wks, I had a little problem sleeping at first, but no other problems.
